PowerISO Tutorial 6 – How to Create Bootable USB Drive Windows 10/Windows 7

Hai friends, Welcome to “ – The Computer Software Tutorial blog” and you are going to learn to create bootable USB drive for Windows 7 or Windows 10 OS. This another cool features of Power ISO software to make windows boot USB flash drive. That means you can setup Windows 10 or Windows 7 from USB or Pendrive via, USB port. It is just like to Create Bootable DVD for Windows 10/7. But, Boot USB is highly portable and erase the boot options as per your need too.

Let us see step by step PowerISO tutorial to create bootable usb drive.

How to Make Bootable USB Drive using Power ISO Software

In Earlier tutorials, you seen how to make bootable DVD for Windows 10 or Windows 7.

Important things required for Create bootable USB Drive using Power ISO:-

  1. Windows 7 or Windows 10 ISO File (If you don’t have, read How to Create ISO File)
  2. Power ISO software, If you don’t have, Download PowerISO
  3. USB Flash Drive (Pendrive) with minimum 8 GB capacity

Let us see step by step Power ISO tutorial for create windows boot USB.

Step 1

Open The Power ISO software as administrator in your Windows 10 Operating system. For that Right click on the Power ISO icon on desktop and select “Run as Administrator”.


From the appearing Dialogue box, click to “Yes” for running the ISO software as administrator app. Then you can see the PowerISO user interface.


Step 2

Go to the “Tools” menu and select “Create bootable USB Drive” from the Tools drop down menu.


You can see Create bootable USB drive dialogue box. You should set the boot usb creation parameters as mentioned in this Power ISO Software Tutorial.

Step 3

In the Appearing dialogue box (displayed above), you have to select the source file (Windows ISO file) or compact disc (windows system installation DVD).


Note: If you want to make Bootable USB directly from Compact disc or DVD, go to “More” and select compact disc in the appearing sub-dialogue box. Read How to Burn ISO File to DVD using PowerISO


Step 4

Select the “Destination USB flash drive”. If you not found the drive, just refresh it or unplug the USB and then plug it.


Step 5

You have select “Settings” like Write Method and File System.

Select write method as “USB HDD” and select file system as “Automatic”.


Then click on “start” to create bootable USB for Windows 10 or Windows 7 operating system.


It will take some time to complete bootable USB creation and please be patient. Write speed depends upon the USB port (USB 3.0 is best), pendrive quality etc.
